Like a wave
It took a good 45 min of reflection before I could even type anything in here. After months of "vacation time" from building in SL, I see now that the world is a very different one then when I was heavily involved in it. Like all things where popularity and money is the goal, it's a very unforgiving place to be. Specially for someone like me who takes pleasure in building and texturing rather than socializing. Marketing is no friend of mine but I hope that the honest effort put into these new items will conquer enough hearts to put me back in position again.
Inspiration always comes to me in waves, span between them varies but it always makes it's way back to the coast. A brand new wave just hit, I'm not hoping for a Tsunami, but still want to make an Impact.
I will be releasing a series of items in the next few days that will show a new side of Divinity, one is a lot more technical then the old school sculpt items that it first started with all those years ago. Everything from here on out is 100% Mesh, baked textures with advanced scripting. A custom HUD was made to accommodate all our needs:
- Multiple Texture Changers allowing you a wide combination of choices within the same item.
- Hide Features allows you to flip through different arrangements of the same item without having to wear and adjust a different one.
- Full Bright ON/OFF grants you the option of choose which ever Brightness setting suits your outfit best depending on the windlight settings.
- HUD driven resizer script
- All this in a very tiny script foot prim (100Kb)
Technical know-how will only take Divinity so far, so it's imperative to keep the poetry, artistry and style that always stood out.
